Mobile RV Water-Heater Repair & Diagnostics

No hot water in your RV, an intermittent heater, or a warning code? Toy Tech Services provides mobile RV water-heater diagnosis and repair in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. Tell us about your tank-style or tankless equipment and the symptoms so the technician can assess the system at your RV.

A request is not a confirmed appointment. We confirm scheduling after an available technician accepts it.

    When to request this service

    • Water stays cold, warms only briefly, or changes temperature unexpectedly.
    • The heater works on electric power but not propane, or the reverse.
    • The controls show an error, the burner does not start, or the unit repeatedly shuts down.
    • Water appears near the heater or a hot-water problem starts after storage or de-winterizing.

    What happens on a visit

    • Review the equipment type, selected operating mode, fault indications, and water-flow symptoms.
    • Assess relevant controls, power or fuel-related concerns, and water connections to distinguish a heating fault from a plumbing issue.
    • Explain the findings and quote proposed repair or replacement work before proceeding; parts or equipment condition may require a return visit.

What to include in your request

In the RV service form, choose “Fridge, Water Heater, or Appliance Not Working” and share:

    • RV year, make, model, and water-heater brand/model if available; identify tank-style or tankless equipment if known.
    • Whether hot water is absent at every fixture and whether the problem differs between propane and electric modes.
    • Your location and ZIP, any visible fault code, recent winterization history, and whether there is an active leak.

Cold water does not identify a failed heating element

Power, controls, fuel supply, flow, and water-system configuration can all affect hot-water delivery. Tank-style and tankless heaters also behave differently. Note whether the heater produces any hot water and whether every faucet is affected; avoid ordering parts based only on a cold-water symptom.

Do not operate leaking or unsafe equipment

Stop using equipment that is leaking or showing signs of unsafe operation. Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions and do not energize a tank-style heater when its tank is empty. For a propane smell or carbon-monoxide alarm, leave the RV and seek appropriate emergency assistance from a safe place rather than waiting for routine repair.

    Questions about rv water-heater repair

Are RV water heaters already included in your service offering?

Yes. The existing appliance and plumbing service choices include water-heater diagnosis and repair. Use Fridge, Water Heater, or Appliance Not Working and identify the water heater in your request.

Can I request help with a tankless RV water heater?

Describe the unit and its model, error code, and flow symptoms in your request. Equipment-specific diagnosis determines the available repair options; this is not a promise that every unit or fault can be repaired on site.

What if there is a leak as well as no hot water?

Report both. Stop using the affected system if safe and explain where water appears. Related RV plumbing service may be relevant, rather than assuming the heater itself is the only problem.

Will I need a replacement water heater?

That cannot be determined from the symptom alone. The technician discusses findings, repair options, parts, and any replacement recommendation before you authorize work. Check your ZIP and technician availability when scheduling.
