Mobile RV Furnace Repair & Diagnostics

Furnace blowing cold air or not starting? Toy Tech Services brings RV heating diagnosis and repair to your motorhome, travel trailer, or fifth wheel in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. Describe the heating problem and where your RV is parked so we can arrange the right service.

A request is not a confirmed appointment. We confirm scheduling after an available technician accepts it.

    When to request this service

    • The furnace fan runs, but the air stays cold or the burner does not light.
    • The furnace starts and then shuts down before the RV reaches the thermostat setting.
    • Nothing happens when you request heat, or the thermostat shows a fault.
    • Heating behavior changes with battery condition or when the RV is connected to shore power.

    What happens on a visit

    • Review the thermostat response, fault indications, power supply, and reported heating sequence.
    • Assess the furnace and relevant electrical or propane-related concerns to identify the cause rather than assume a replacement part.
    • Explain findings and quote feasible repair work before proceeding. Required parts or equipment condition may mean a follow-up visit.

What to include in your request

In the RV service form, choose “AC Not Cooling or Heat Not Working” and share:

    • RV year, make, and model; furnace brand or model and any visible fault code, if available.
    • Whether the blower starts, whether warm air ever appears, and how long the furnace runs before stopping.
    • Your location and service ZIP, the power source in use, and any recent heating or battery work.

Furnace heat and rooftop heat pumps are different systems

An RV may have a propane furnace, a rooftop heat pump, or both. Tell us which control mode you selected and where the air comes from. A rooftop unit that stops providing heat and a furnace that fails to ignite need different diagnosis; you do not need to identify the failed part before requesting help.

Put propane and carbon-monoxide safety first

If you smell propane or a carbon-monoxide alarm sounds, stop using the equipment, leave the RV, and contact emergency services or your propane supplier from a safe location as appropriate. Do not keep cycling the furnace or bypass a safety switch. A routine service request is not an emergency response.

    Questions about rv furnace repair

Can a weak battery affect an RV furnace even when propane is available?

Yes. Many RV furnaces rely on 12V power for controls and the blower. Battery, charging, thermostat, airflow, and ignition concerns can produce similar symptoms; diagnosis determines which applies.

Do you repair the furnace where the RV is parked?

Mobile diagnosis and feasible repairs are available at customer locations in the service region. Check your service-location ZIP; appointments depend on technician availability. Some repairs require ordered parts or work that cannot be completed on site.

Can I request help with a heat pump instead?

Yes. Use the existing AC Not Cooling or Heat Not Working choice and specify that the rooftop heat pump, rather than the furnace, is affected.

Should I order an ignition board before the visit?

Not just from the symptom. A no-heat condition does not establish that the board has failed. Share the symptoms and any equipment details so the technician can diagnose before proposing parts.
