PLATFORM PROTECTIONS
Toy Tech Services is a structured, documented platform for serious machines. Every job runs on a written quote, an in-platform approval, and a sign-off code — so both customers and technicians have a clear record of what was agreed and what was done.
Documented Payments
Standard service requires no deposit, card hold, arrival charge, or advance payment. After the work is complete, you receive one itemized final invoice and one secure payment link for the unpaid balance.
Referral-Vetted Pros
Technicians are referral-approved and reviewed before joining the platform. Every Pro is an independent contractor and remains responsible for the quality, safety, and outcome of their own work.
Documented Dispute Process
If an issue arises, both parties can submit details through the platform. We review the documented work, itemized invoice, in-platform messages, and job status to determine a fair outcome on the record.
Service Accountability
Every job keeps a documented record of the work performed, parts used, charges, messages, and final invoice. If it isn't documented in the platform, it cannot support a payment or dispute decision.
How We Protect Customers
- Service call, labor, parts, fees, discounts, and tax are itemized on the final invoice
- All communication stays on-platform so the record of what was agreed is preserved
- File a dispute from your dashboard if the work doesn't match the documented invoice
- Our dispatch team pairs you with a referral-vetted technician for your job
- Technicians document completed work, parts, and charge details in the platform
- Standard service requires no deposit, card hold, arrival charge, or advance payment
How We Protect Pros
- Completed work and charges are documented in one itemized final invoice
- Payout becomes payable after verified final-invoice payment
- On-platform messaging creates a clear record of every agreement
- Documented dispute process gives both sides a fair hearing on the record
- Customers who cancel after a tech is dispatched are flagged in their account
- Build your reputation with verified reviews visible to all customers
What These Protections Cover
These Protections apply to jobs booked, documented, invoiced, and paid through the Toy Tech Services platform. Every covered item below is tied to the platform record — the documented work, itemized invoice, in-platform messages, or job status.
Scope Mismatch
Work performed materially differs from the scope, parts, or items documented on the final invoice.
No-Shows
Technician fails to arrive within the agreed window without communicating through the platform.
Undocumented Additional Work
Additional work or parts must be documented and itemized in the platform. Undocumented charges can be raised through the dispute process.
Incomplete Work
Job is marked complete in the platform, but documented scope items were not actually performed.
Pro Conduct
Technician violates platform policies — off-platform payment requests, harassment, or dishonest documentation.
Platform Fulfillment
If we are unable to dispatch a Pro within a reasonable time, all amounts paid for that request are refunded.
What These Protections Do Not Cover
Toy Tech Services is a technology platform, not the service provider. The following are not covered by these Protections — they are addressed in our Liability & Risk and Terms & Conditions.
Property Damage
Damage caused during service is between you and the independent Pro. We will share the Pro's contact information and, where available, insurance information so you can pursue a claim with them directly.
Mechanical Outcomes
We do not guarantee that a repair will fix the issue, last a specific amount of time, or prevent future problems. Any workmanship guarantee is provided by the Pro, not by Toy Tech Services.
Off-Platform Agreements
Any side agreement, off-platform payment, or work not documented in the platform is between you and the Pro and falls outside these Protections.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Issues that existed before the service or were not disclosed to the Pro before work began.
Personal Injury & Indirect Loss
Personal injury, lost profits, downtime, towing, lodging, or other indirect or consequential losses.
Subjective Satisfaction
Disputes that are not tied to the documented quote, approval, or in-platform messages. Outcomes are determined on the platform record, not on subjective expectations.
How the Payment Flow Works
Request & Book
Submit your service request and our dispatch team pairs you with a qualified technician for your job.
$135 Service Call
The $135 service-call fee is separate from diagnostic and repair labor. Labor is billed at $145 per hour. No deposit, card hold, arrival charge, or advance payment is required for standard service; the fee appears on the one final invoice.
Diagnose & Document
Your tech diagnoses the issue and records completed work, labor, parts, and other charges in the platform. Progress does not trigger an estimate-approval request or payment.
Repair & Final Payment
After your approval, the tech completes the work with full documentation — parts, work performed, and photos. You pay the remaining repair balance per the approved estimate.
Important
These Platform Protections describe how Toy Tech Services structures and documents service requests. They are not a warranty, satisfaction guarantee, or refund commitment. Refunds and credits, when issued, are at our sole discretion and are limited to the platform fees actually paid through the platform. The full agreement governing your use of the platform is set out in our Terms & Conditions and Liability & Risk pages, which control in case of any conflict with this page.
